The NorthFace has a few styles that have caught my eye, but the The NorthFace Quanticon TriClimate 3-in-1 Jacket ($329) is the REI Expert Gift Pick and it has a design style that won’t age as opposed to the NorthFace Free Thinker Gore-Tex Jacket, which I am also flirting with ($499). The 3-in-1 is tricked out with all sorts of zippers, pockets and adjustable cuffs to protect you from the elements and stash your stuff. A detachable hood, an imbedded Recco Reflector, the ability to wear the jacket 3 ways and my favorite, handwarmer pockets. Available in Canopy Green and Asphalt Gray at REI.
