The Gaiam Balance Ball Chair takes from ball phenomenom that has swept fitness centers and hip offices like Google and adds a back support and wheels to make it look and function more like a chair. According to Gaiam, the chair can be used to improve spinal alignment and strengthen core muscles.
How good is this in comparison to other chairs on the market? I have no idea. I looked up Dr. Randy Weinzoff, who helped design the chair on Google, Yahoo and MSN to see exactly who he was and what qualified him to be an authority and I was unable to find much except links to purchase or describe the Gaiam Balance Ball Chair.
Dr. Randy Weinzoff does have his own website and you can find more information about him there. As far as the Gaiam Balance Ball Chair it looks interesting and it’s cheap (only $69 for the Gaiam Balance Ball Chair on Amazon vs. $80 direct from Gaiam), but I can’t find any other opinions on it. If any doctors or users of the chair are reading this, post your opinion.
