Well we’re still here, but it seems AMP’D mobile might not be, as the company recently filed for a Chapter 11. Initial reports of AMP’D’s Chapter 11 came from the WSJ (subscription req’d). Unfortunately these things happen when you allegedly owe $100 million, have less than $100 million in assets and you’re in-store sales team has less talent than the girls on Flava of Love Charm School. At least they know sex sells, the AMP’D girls I’ve seen were too busy talking on the phones instead of selling them.
