Today I spotted a Spill ad while checking BigBerries entertainment and decided to check it out. Spill is a movie review site. The angle that makes Spill different is that the movie reviews are animated.
The members of the Spill crew immediately triggered my stereotype alarms, but I still proceeded with caution across the site. I checked a few movie reviews and while the tastes are not mine, the reviews are good.
The Spill Crew reviews movies in animated clips and cast votes as some old B.S., Matinee, Full price or Rental. Many of the movies I checked failed to meet a value of Full price. This may help explain current DVD sales.

The animated clips can be entertaining, but contain annoying censor beeps. The movie reviews clips would be better with removed profanity or removed censors. There is no point to curse if you are censoring it.
Despite my initial reaction, I think Spill could be a great time waster and a laid-back alternative to IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes
