It’s about time Palm had the balls to commit this device to the scrapheap. The tech community the world over collectively took a dump on the Foleo when it was unveiled earlier this year, (BigBerries Palm Foleo post) but Palm played deaf, dumb and blind to it all. Thank goodness, Engadget wrote an open letter to Palm. Palm listened and yesterday took action.

Today Palm announced “the Palm Foleo, the world’s first smartphone companion product”. I don’t quite believe / agree with what they’re positioning it as, because it looks like a regular laptop to me. And so far, most folks on the web have the same perception. Continue →
